Greetings
Numbers down again due to holidays/IPMS meetings etc.
Steve S ran a board game about the Hunnic invasions of Europe, but we were unable to start any other games due to the low attendance. I've been asked to run the Lion Rampant Viking raid again next week - no bad thing with SELWG looming in the next couple of weeks - and Steve S has offered to provide a board game as back up. Any other offers would be appreciated.
A reminder that the Essex Warriors Open Day takes place on Sunday 25/09/16 at:
Writtle Village Hall,
The Green,
Writtle,
Chelmsford,
CM1 3DU
Steve S and I will be there with Space Hulk and Incursion, and I hope to see a few of you on the day.
See yer soon

14th September Games
Greetings
Decent turnout last night; Steve S ran Cards Against Humanity, which generated some hilarity amongst those playing. Chris and Dave K played Hordes of the Things and I ran my Viking Raid game ahead of it's next outing at SELWG. This game featured a revised layout and led to a Viking victory when the church was looted and the Saxon commander was killed in a duel. Sort of deci=isive then . . .
Steve H has offered to run Incursion next week, prior to the Essex Warrior;s Open Day. Nothing else firm has been planned, but I'll have a look for something suitable.

7th September Games
Greetings
Reasonable turnout last night - we had a visit from Bob who may be joining us at some point; thanks to Dave K for running his Sweeny - based Pulp Alley game for those present.

Given the 1970's flavour of the game, current opinion holds that the orange pond in the background is either full of Fanta or an unsuccessful attempt at pumpkin soup by the soup dragon.
I've agreed to run a Lion Rampant game next week using my Viking figures - I'm looking to introduce some variable and a revision of scenery to the Viking Raid game which I'll take to SELWG on the 9th October. Not sure what else has been arranged.

31st August Games
Greetings
Slightly higher attendance last night (due in part to the return of Alan Fitzroy after a prolonged absence); thanks to Mark for his Retro Raygun game which provided entertainment for most of those present. Steve H and I played Battlecry and I lost (no change there then).
Next week, Steve S wants to play AWI, using the horse and musket Flinch Point rules, dating back to the early 1970's as a tribute to Laurie (and yes, I HAVE played these rules!), but currently, no full set can be found. Dave K will provide figures and if necessary has agreed to run his Pulp Alley game if the AWI game cannot go ahead. I will bring Space Hulk or something similar.
