25th January Games

A reasonable turnout last night; Dave K ran his promised Border Reiver game for myself, Steves S & H, Mark, Eddie and Alex (who had contacted me about visiting to try some new games). The scenario involved a raiding clan seeking to rescue hostages held by defenders. An acceptable level of mayhem with low humour ensued, with the defenders being unable to withstand the attack, the hostages being freed at game's end. Great fun with a game we haven't played for a long while.

Next week Mark has offered his dungeon crawl game, and I'll run an Angels 20 game for the aerial WW2 buffs.

See yer soon

17th September Games

Thanks to Dave Knightly for running his Border Reivers show game in anticipation of SELWG. Laurie and Mark's Scot raiders won, getting all 3 barrels of gold out of the well and off their table edge, but not before losing a substantial amount of men to a couple of strangely powerful dogs.

10th September Games

Thanks to Dave for running his Border Reivers game this week for those present; it was a suitably bloodthirsty affair which resulted in the Scots getting a bloody nose.

Dave has offered to run another Reiver game in the run up to SELWG, as this is the game we will be presenting there.

I intend to run an ACW Ironclad game the week after as a quick test before we attend the Essex Warriors Open Day at Writtle on the 28th; hope to see you then and also in the depths of Essex the following weekend.

See yer soon,
Neil.

27th February Games

Apologies if I was not seen to be running a game this Wednesday just gone; a major league show and tell was in progress with the newly released Bandits High additions for Angels 20! Thanks to Dave Kightly for running the promised Border Reiver game for the benefit of all those present.

Next week, it is intended to run Angels 20 with some of the new aircraft now available and a Wild West game.

See yer soon,
Neil

Recent Games

Last two weeks games have included Border Reivers, ACW navel, WHFB and Ludis Gladiatorius which as always was good fun. Did surprise myself by letting myself drift within distance of 1 hit point Laurie to enable him to ‘savage attack’ me when my back was turned. And that was after he had tried to get me to team up with him. Some people you just can not trust.

Ludis Gladiatorius is a good little game and it is tempting to use this as a basis for fantasy arena skirmish. My otherworld figures are just screaming to be used. Need to give this one some though.
