Greetings
Still low on numbers due to hot weather/holidays etc. Thanks to Mark for running his Retro Raygun sci fi game. Steve H and I played Rise of Tribes, a new game he had brought along - basically a colonisation game without some of the pitfalls of the Catan series of games. It would be better with three or more players but proved an interesting diversion.
Next week, Andy P wants to run his Asian (Samurai) battle game, I'll bring Battle Cry as a backup but if anyone else is likely to be along, please feel free to offer other games.
See yer soon

18th July Games
Greetings
A return to wargaming after the World Cup found us still a bit low on numbers, but since we're into the holiday season, I'm not surprised. I ran the Space Hulk game originally planned for last week (for those owning the current edition of the game, it was the Beach Head scenario). Suffice to say the Deathwing had an off day and had their shiny metal behinds handed to them by the 'stealers.
Next week, Mark has offered to run his Retro Raygun 1950's style sci-fi game (no Ed Wood films? Plan 9 From Outer Space anyone?) - I'm reading a lot on ACW ahead of a new Osprey rules set promised for next year, so I'll bring Battlecry as a backup game.
While I think of it, I have arranged with the SELWG club to run a Napoleonic naval game at the Crystal Palace show on 21/10/18. The game in question hasn't been out on the circuit for about 4 years, and given the sate it seems to be a natural choice. A bit of work needs to be done on the display material but other than that it's ready to roll.

4th July Games
Greetings
Thanks to Dave K for running a further Mad Dogs with Guns game for those attending considering the American gangster wars for a future club game (appropriate for the 4th July!). My personal thanks to Rob L for bringing along the new version of Necromunda for a trial game. I got lucky and won the game, but as a first effort I would certainly play again using the full blown version of the rules. Might even paint some figures . . .
I was able to distribute the first of the new club badges to members last night. These appear to have met with general approval from those who have recieved them thus far; I'll dish out the rest as people turn up.
Next week, I've offered to run a Space Hulk game for Rob as a thank you for this week's game as he hasn't played the most recent version yet. I'll plan a scenario which should accommodate up to three players. Steve S has offered to bring a Mars Attacks! related game, but as ever I'd welcome further offers.

27th June Games
Greetings
The planned Necromunda game was postponed due to illness (get well soon Bob) but the Mad Dogs game went ahead as planned. Mayhem ensued as usual.
I've recieved confirmation that the club badges have been sent so hopefully these will be avaliable next week.
Only confirmed game for next week is a further Mad Dogs with Guns excursion; possible Necromunda too. Any other suggestions or offers would be welcome.
