A very active night yesterday; Steve S, Mark, Andy P and Dave K played Mars Attacks! (I believe the Martians lost).
Other options currently include Zombicide or The Walking Dead . . . do I sense a theme here?

We were a bit scattered last night. Steve S, Mark, Andy P and Dave K played Zombicide, and Rob was involved with a Warcry game in the bar area.
Whilst I ran an Angels 20 game for Steve H, Matt and myself in the main hall. Having recently recieved a new dedicated cloth with the correct hex grid for the game from Tiny Wargames, it seemed appropriate to christen the cloth with an Eastern Front scenario. Steve and Matt 'flew' a bf109-E apiece while I ran a brace of Yak 1's. Losses mounted fairly quickly for both sides (sorry Matt!), then Steve and I settled to a real dogfight, with lots of manoeuvring and snap shots - most of which missed. Eventually we found ourselves in a head on pass and my dice finally came good and Steve was shot down. Brilliant game and the new cloth really added a dimension to the game.
Next week, we're planning a Battletech game and Steve S wants to run a Mars Attacks! game.

Steve S, Mark, Paul, Dave K and Andy P were engaged in a Zombicide game last night; no details but I believe all survived.
Steve H and I ran through a convoy scenario for my planned Battlefleet Gothic game. An Imperial convoy escorted by a light cruiser and two frigates was hit by a Chaos raiding force of two cruisers and six escorts. I was unlucky with initiative rolls and the two cruisers wrecked havoc on the convoy. I'd factored in reinforcements for the convoy of 2 cruisers and 6 escorts, but randomising their point of arrival meant that these didn't arrive in time to support the convoy. although some small satisfaction was gained by bushwhacking three Chaos escorts with the Imperial escorts launching a full spread of torpedoes into their rear arc! Despite the result the game was fun, and the scenario will receive some tweaks in due course.
I'm pleased to say that my new battle mat for Angels 20 has been received from Tiny Wargames and very nice it is too. Needless to say I shall christen same with a game next week. Considerations have also been given to running a Battlemech game.

A busy evening yesterday; Andy P ran his Core Space sci-fi game for Dave K, Mark, Bob and Steve S, Mike was playing Warhammer 30k in a Heresy era game, Alan and Rob played Necromunda, while Steve H and I played WW1 Wings of Glory.
No details as to victory/defeat with the Core Space game (although I don't think it went well), Mike's WH30K game looked iffy for Mike last time I looked (I can confirm iffy was the right word - Mike), while Alan beat Rob's House Escher forces in the Necromunda game - Rob took the rare loss very well (could barely see his bottom lip wobble).
I set up the Wings of Glory game using aircraft which are surprisingly well matched; Sopwith Camels against Austrian built Albatros D111's using the fighting in Italy in late 1917 as a basis, mat supplied by Tiny Wargames. I lost one of the Camels early on, while another had directional difficulties (due in no small part to my selecting the wrong movement cards). Advantage Austria at game's end although their aircraft were carrying more damage than mine. Probably best to call it a test game. . .
Next week I'll run a Battlefield Gothic game, I gather that Zombicide is another game under consideration.

We were mostly together this week. Dave K ran the Mad Dos with Guns game for Bob from the Friday group, Paul, Steve S and Andy P.
While Mike and I pitted our respective Wars of the Roses forces against one another with the assistance of Steves B and H. Mike's Lancastrians were tasked with escorting a convoy across the table* while my Yorkists had to stop them. The usual problem with failed activation rolls in a Lion Rampant game meant that both sides struggled to get into contact, although things did hot up on the Yorkist left flank just as time beat us. Both sides have since claimed victory.
*I believe there were two different versions of this scenario being played depending which side of the table you were on - Mike
Alan was seen to be playing Blood Bowl, not sure what Rob was playing though.
Next week Andy P will run his Core Sci-Fi game; I've booked a table but no decision has been made as to the game yet.
