24th February Games

Greetings

Fair turnout this week - Steve S and Andy P played Monster Apocalypse, which they appeared satisfied with. I ran a Napoleonic Naval game for the remainder of those present. This turned into a hard-fought action, with the French coming out on top at close of play, having forced two British ships to strike as distinct from one of their own; this could have changed radically had there been time for another turn, however.

Next Wednesday; Dave K has offered to run his Zombie Apocalypse game, while Steve S, Alan and Josh have decided to run a Flames of War game.

Greetings

Low turnout last night; Thankfully Dave Knightly brought his 'Last Night On Earth' zombie board game which was more than sufficient for those in attendance.

Next week Steve S, and sundry others, will be playing Monster Apocolypse, whilst I have been asked to run a Napoleonic Naval game.

10th February Games

Greetings

A decent turnout last night; Chris ran an early WW2 Bolt Action game for Alan, Dave K, Josh, John and Mark.

Steve S ran a Heroscape game with Andy P, while Steve H and I indulged in Angels 20 using Italian and R.A.F over Malta.

Next week; I will run Angels 20 again and I understand a zombie game has also been planned.

3rd February Games

Greetings

Good turnout last night, which also saw the return of Messrs. Crook and Fosker to the fold - David hopes to be able to get along more frequently and Ernie made one of his all too rare appearances.

We ran three games - Dave Knightly ran the modern version of Zombiecide, Steve S and Mark played a new game called Smallworld, while I ran a Dark Ages Lion Rampant game for Ernie and Steve H. Time beat us in regard to this game but Ernie's first experience of the rules seems to be a positive one.

Next week; I'll run an Angels 2- game while Chris has offered to run a Bolt Action WW2 game.

27th January Games

Greetings

     A good turnout last night meant we were able to run three games. Chris put on a Lion Rampant game for Andy H and Rob, Steve S played a Pirates of the Caribbean game and Steve H ran his new Zombicide - Black Plague - game for the rest of us. Not a bad evening all told . . .

     Next week, I've offered to run a Dark Ages Lion Rampant game in the run up to the Tonbridge show next month, Steve S has agreed to supply various board games and no doubt we will come up with something else too!

Very thin on the ground last night - doubtless due to the very cold conditions and problems with the trains reported.

I ran a Space Hulk game for those present, which resulted in an honourable draw with much slaughter on both sides - typical Space Hulk really . . .

Nothing specific planned for next week - memoir 44 maybe?

13th January Games

Greetings

First, some sad news. Dave Knightly has advised me that his mother passed away recently; I have extended our sympathies prior to her funeral next week.

We were a bit thin on the ground this week. Steve S ran a Wings of War game for Mark and Andy, while I ran a playtest of a set of naval rules for pre-dreadnoughts which Alan and Steve H were kind enough to participate in. The rules are very basic but ran ok, some tweaks are required.

Next week, I've been asked to run a Space Hulk game and various people have agreed to bring some board games to provide further options as required.
