Rob and Alan played a couple of games of Warcry. Mark, Dave K and Steve's H & S played Mad Dogs with Guns. While I played Lion Rampant using 15mm 3rd century Romans with two more Steve's, this time B & B.
I didn't stay late enough to be able to say what was planned for next week, although Neil has mentioned his Dark Age Lion Rampant.

Quiet night on Wednesday; Rob was playing Warcry, while Dave K hosted myself, Mark and Steves H & S in a Mad Dogs with Guns gangster game. The scenario involved an attempt to 'rub out' a rival gang boss. My part was strictly limited due to being pinned by the rival gang's reinforcements and not being able to respond, but the rival gang boss came to a sticky end regardless.
Next week I'll run a Lion Rampant game with a mix of Anglo-Saxon, Viking and Norman forces.

Bit short handed again this week (reasons in writing re. absence please) but an enjoyable evening nonetheless. Rob was involved in a Warcry game while Dave K, Steves S & H, Mark and myself played Zombicide. We managed to fit in two games with the mayhem level set at maximum.
Next week we have a Mad Dogs with Guns game scheduled; no other tables are available but I'll bring something for backup.

Fair turnout last night; Rob was playing Warcry with some friends in the bar area, Dave K, Mark and Steve S played Mad Dogs with Guns while Steve H and I gave the Pacific warbirds a runout in Angels 20. The Warcry game had its usual level of utter carnage, while the Made Dogs game generated some 'spirited discussion' of rules interpretation (if I have the facts right).
Steve and I ran three games during the evening - a Pearl Harbour based P40's vs Zero-sen was a walk over for the Japanese (not that this was a surprise), followed by F4-U Corsairs against the Zeros then Ki-61 Hien. The Corsairs were an eye opener and took out the Zeros in the second game so quickly that I literally didn't have time to take any pictures! The third game against the Ki-61's took a bit longer but the Corsairs showed why they were such a successful aircraft at the time.
We've decided to run some board games next week; Zombicide and Ludis Gladiatorius have been suggest. I've also submitted a proposal for a Battle of Britain game to be run at the Broadside show in the 4th June. This will use the Angels 20 rules (hence the play tests) and the 1/144 scale aircraft built by Graham for the game we ran some time in the 1990's - more on this as news comes in.

Bit low on numbers last night for various reasons; Alan and Rob continued their Warcry extravaganza and I ran an introductory Angels 20 game for Matt, Mark and Steve H as part of the games's reboot regarding the proposed Battle of Britain game (for which I have acquired Graham's 1/144 scale aircraft collection from the game's last outing). We fitted in three games during the vening with honours more or less even for both sides.
Dave K's Mad Dogs game has been rescheduled for next week, and I've agreed to run Angels 20 again - this time on a Pacific War basis to allow the USE and Japanese some table time.

A reasonable night's gaming last night; Alan and Rob were involved in two Warcry games while Steve S and H, Dave K, Mark and I used the Dragon's Rampant rules for a further Game of Thrones game. This time House Bolton took on the Nights Watch- and lost. My lousy dice rolls might just have been a contributory factor.
Current plans for next week are for a Mad Dogs with Guns game, while Steve H and I are continuing our test with the Angels 20 WW2 aerial game which we propose to run at Broadside in June. I've recently aquired Graham's collection of 1/144 Battle of Britain collection which will suit the avaliable gridded cloths better than the original one. More on this as things develop.

Decent turnout again this week; Dave K, Mark and Steve S were trialling the Dragon Rampant rules with Dave's Song Of Ice and Fire/Game Of Thrones figures (I gather than House Bolton swept the field), Rob and Alan continued their Warcry epic (Rob's arachnids won hands/legs down, so I've included a picture of Alan's hoplite inspired figures by way of consolation) and Steve H and I played what was for us an introductionary game of GW's Aeronautica Imperialis air combat game. Sufficient similarities to my Angels 20 game allowed us to get the feel of things quickly - suffice to say the Emperor's Eagles swept the xeno scum from the air 4-0 (much to Steve's disgust).
Next week, the Dragon Rampant/Game of Thrones experiment continues. I'll bring Ludis Gladiatorius as a backup.
